Last week of Bachelorette-dom!!

Wow! Last weekend was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Me and Chris were able to go to the Seattle temple to get our endowments!! Yay! It was a very powerful and deeply spiritual experience. One that I will definitely NOT forget! I was completely overwhelmed by the feelings that I had going in, and coming out. One thing is for sure: I definitely want to go back! I can honestly say that it was one of the most exhilarating, happy and most spirtual days of my life. I can't wait to go to the Portland temple to get sealed to Chris for time and all eternity! I know that me and Chris have definitely grown closer (if that is possible) after this ^_^. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful man in my life. I am thankful that he is an active member of the church, holds the priesthood, and can go to the temple with me. What a wonderful feeling it is to have the man that you love share and appreciate in the most important and wonderful things you hold dear in your life! I am so proud of myself to hitting yet another big milestone in my journey of life and am thankful for the Savior's love and teachings.

Chris's parents acted as our escorts into the temple. Me and Chris were super excited and nervous and I didn't get a wink of sleep the night before! Robin was sweet enought to do my hair for this wonderful occasion. Our wonderful friends, Matt and Ernie (aka Erin), were sweet enough to drive down from Hillsboro for our endowments. Aunt Kathy and Uncle John, Lora, Kyla and Siggy, and my good friend Yani, were some of the few that made it to the session. How blessed we are to have such great family and friends to share in our special occasion! Afterwards we went to Red Robin for a somewhat light lunch......

Later that evening, I met up with Leebo, Judy, Robin and my mom for dinner and to kick off my bachelorette party! It was great fun! We ate BOMB food at the Keg and me, Leebo and Robin ended up going to a comedy club in the U-District called Giggles. It was the finals of a comedy competition and we got to see 6 comedians duke it out for the title. Chris went to his bachelor party with Kirk, Biff, Jamie, Kent, Danno, Siggy, Jermaine and John. O yeah, and Robin being the awesome photographer that she is, took a whole bunch of pictures of me after she did my hair b/c she complains all the time that I never get dressed up for anything :). All in all it was great fun! Enjoy the pix!

Bass Fishin Trip!!

What an exciting time it's been! Me and Chris are frantically scrambling to pull our wedding together. Thanks to our family and friends, our lives have been easier! Here is a recap of the things we've been doing:

*~*~*~*~* MARCH *~*~*~*~*

We took our yearly bass fishin trip in Eastern Washington (May 19th - 23rd). We caught TONS of fish! (well, at least Chris did). To recap, we almost got capsized in our boat twice and Chris got a tick for the very first time (EWWW!!) The weather has been absolutely INSANE, and whenever it was, we were hooking up like crazy! But as soon as it was nice and sunny, they went back into their hiding spots.
As for the tick, Chris felt something on the back of his neck when we were sitting by the campfire and dug whatever it was that was bothering him. Later he realized it was a tick! We shook out all his clothes that night. The next day, after a couple hours of morning fishin, we decided to dock and take a bathroom break. As I was tying up the boat i heard Chris gasp and when I looked, there was a tick lodged 2 inches below his belly button!!! Luckily, it has just begun to burrow his head and after 10 seconds of freakin out, Chris pulled him off with some pliers and squished him dead!
Another highlight of our trip is that we almost lost a $300 dollar rod! Chris had just gotten done catching a nice bass and handed me his rod. I set it down in the boat, with his worm sticking in the water. No big deal, we do it all the time. All of a sudden, we both heard a splash!! His whole rod disappeared! We actually see it sinking by the side of the boat and moving away from us....just out of arms reach. Chris tries to scoot over to the rod in time with the electric motor in reverse (which is not very fast). The whole time he was pleading to the rod to "please don't sink, please don't sink." And all the while I'm thinking: please don't get mad at me, please don't get mad at me. It was actually a pretty humorous sight: us slowly scooting in reverse trying to catch a slowly sinking rod that seems to be moving away from us rather than sinkin down....! Every once in a while, we would see the rod slow down and float up b/c the handle is made of cork, and when we would catch up to it again, it would start moving away from us again. We finally caught up to it and Chris grabs it with a sigh of relief. He can feel something pulling on the rod and reels it up. An ugly carp had grabbed the worm that was sitting on the surface and took the rod with him! After all that, we just laughed uncontrollably.
One game me and Chris like to play every year is to see how many types of fish we can catch during our trip besides bass. This year be both caught a walleye (a very hard fish to catch and Chris's first!). I can't remember what else we caught. But the walleye was cool.
We basically got home and fell down in exhaustion. Chris was a sweetheart and did all the driving!
I am so thankful that we came home safe! All in all it was a great trip! Enjoy the pix! :)
