Yay! My new BLOG! At least it's not a myspace.....(no, this is NOT my child, it's Chris's nephew, LOL)
I suck at chronicles, so whoever is reading this will probably not find anything too exciting.
Life, so far, has been great....I've been struggling with my insecurities over the last couple of weeks and now I feel like I'm getting over it.
My new job at Genentech is fantastic. I'm a Blue Badge now! Got a great pay raise, awesome benies and cool new gear. I am so proud to be apart of this company, it's values and it's works. They focus on their patients and are working hard to provide medicines for cancer, immunological diseases and other unmet medical needs. They just approved a drug called Avastin for breast cancer. This drug has also already been approved for colorectal and lung cancer as well! Everyone that I work with are friendly and outgoing....I think I may have finally found a career home.......
Living in Oregon has been absolutely amazing! I have the most wonderful boyfriend. He means the world to me. I am completely lost w/o him. I am completely consumed with him. We have been thru thick and thin and I KNOW that we will be together. It's not a question anymore. There are no uncertainties. And it feels WONDERFUL! We have both grown a lot in the last couple of years and I know it's b/c we both put the Lord first in our lives. I am so thankful for the Savior's love and forgiveness and for blessing me with the life I share with Chris and his family.
All I need is the RING.... :) You know, someone in the family should get a pool of money going to predict proposal dates. I bet they could make it a very lucrative bet.....but then again, no one could actually win, b/c he may not even propose!
I do miss my family at home. It's hard to be away from my mom, sister and dad. I feel terrible b/c I feel like no one will be there watch over my mom. I can't help Robin with her homework and I just miss my dad period. Robin is doing a great holding down the fort though. She has really impressed me with the amount of responsibility she has been taking on in the last couple of months. She's actually paying for her own phone bills, her internet and now making car payments! She is working hard as a full-time student at Highline Community College and managing to work part/full time as a waitress at Simply Thai. The Cav finally broke down, so Robin was forced to buy a new 2008 Toyota Yaris in Sea Green. I'm happy that she is finally growing up!
So that's me in a nutshell for now.......stay tuned! ^_^
